In times of war politicians present these wars often as a gift to change something with it. Like Hitler was telling Ther Germans that they would get new land. At a time, where a farmer wasn´t able to feed his family by his own land, such a promies to get new land is a psychologic way to get a war accepted.
If you think, times will get better for you and your family after a war, then you agree to a war.
War is usually brought about by nations competing for resources. While it is more efficient to trade freely and cooperate, the annihilation of others for personal gain has made it way about time and again through history to the detriment of society.
